The $4,000 in funds provided by the Foundation will pay to process about 3,500 pounds of donated large game and livestock – providing almost 14,000 more meals through area hunger-relief agencies to residents in need within their community. Westport Locker, Napoleon Locker Plant, and Myers Frozen Food Provisioners, work hard for Decatur County AND do all the processing at a reduced rate so that we are able to make funds like this go so much further. This partnership led to the donation and processing of 2,665 pounds over the last year. This nutritious protein was given to and distributed by Greensburg Community Bread of Life, St. Mary’s Pantry, and Westport Christian Church – providing 10,600 more meals to Decatur County individuals, families, and children in need.
