South Central Indiana (SCI) REMC recently awarded Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry funds to aid in hunger relief efforts in the form of a grant totaling $3,000 through Operation RoundUp; a program used to serve non-profit organizations within SCI REMC’s service area. These funds will be used to pay processing fees on livestock donated to agencies serving food-insecure residents within the counties of Monroe, Morgan, Owen, Brown, Johnson, Clay, and Putnam. This grant will allow Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry to continue and expand our mission of hunger relief by providing over 10,000 more meals through local hunger relief agencies.
