Hunger Relief Grant received from Huntington County Community Foundation

Amber Zecca of Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry, receives a grant check in the amount of $5,000 from Executive Director Matt Ditzler of the Huntington County Community Foundation. Founded in 2011, Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry encourages hunters and farmers to donate large game and livestock to their “Meat” the Need program, which provides the meat to hunger relief agencies. The agencies in turn, distribute the meat to low-income and at-risk individuals and families. To-date, Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry has overseen the processing of 1.6 million pounds of meat, which has provided approximately 6.5 million meals across Indiana, including Huntington County.
