Owen County Community Foundation awarded Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry a grant to be used to serve Owen County residents. The funding for this grant came out of the following community funds; Gosport, DeCoursey Family Fund, Coal City/Jefferson Township Fund, Freedom/Franklin Township Fund, Hackworthy Fund, and the Eugene S. & Robert Bowen Fund for Owen County. These funds helped Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry pay processing fees for large game and livestock donations within Owen County. The hunger relief agencies that received this nutritious meat included Cunot Food Pantry, Garrard Chapel, Gleaners Food Bank, Lighthouse Food Pantry, Mark of Discipleship Mission, and Spencer Presbyterian Food Pantry.
