The WIN Energy REMC Community Trust’s Operation Roundup program recently awarded Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry $2,500 to be used to serve residents working and living within their 8-county service area including: Clay, Gibson, Greene, Knox, Pike, Posey, Sullivan and Vigo County. The $2,500 grant provided by the WIN Energy REMC Community Trust’s Operation Roundup program will pay to process about 2,000 pounds of donated large game and livestock – providing 8,200 more meals through area hunger-relief agencies to residents in need within their community. Processors who work hard within the REMC service area AND do all the processing at a reduced rate so that we are able to make grants like this go so much further, include – Kenny Dewig Meat Processing, Dewig Brothers Packing Co., Tony Rutledge Deer Processing, Sievers Custom Processing, Wabash Clay Custom Meats, Jack’s Fine Foods, and Pohlman’s Meat Processing.
