South Central Indiana (SCI) REMC awards $3,000 through Operation RoundUp

South Central Indiana (SCI) REMC recently awarded Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry funds to aid in hunger relief efforts in the form of a grant totaling $3,000 through Operation RoundUp; a program used to serve non-profit organizations within SCI REMC’s service area. These funds will be used to pay processing fees on livestock donated to agencies serving food-insecure residents within the counties of Monroe, Morgan, Owen, Brown, Johnson, Clay, and Putnam.
This grant will allow Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry to pay for the processing of approximately 2,500 pounds of donated livestock – providing over 10,300 more meals through local hunger-relief agencies within the REMC service area.
