United Way of Adams County awards $3,750 to aid in hunger relief efforts

United Way of Adams County recently awarded Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry funds to aid in hunger relief efforts in the form of a grant totaling $3,750.  These funds will be used to pay processing fees on livestock and deer donated to agencies serving food-insecure residents within Adams County.

“We, here at United Way, are so grateful to be in a wonderful community that helps those in need,” said Jessica Thieme, Executive Director of The United Way of Adams County. This grant will allow Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry to pay for the processing of approximately 3,200 pounds of donated livestock – providing 13,000 more meals through local hunger-relief agencies.
