The $3,000 in funds will pay to process about 2,600 pounds of donated large game and livestock – providing 10,300 more meals through area hunger-relief agencies to residents in need within their community. Eastside Meats and Sherwood Food Distributors work hard for La Porte County AND do all the processing at a reduced rate so that we are able to make grants like this go so much further. These partnerships led to the donation and processing of over 2,500 pounds over the past year. This nutritious protein has been given to and distributed by Good Shepherd Food Pantry and Food Bank of Northern Indiana – providing 10,000 more meals to La Porte County residents!
